7 Gorgeous Pieces of Furniture: My Wish List for Santa

by Reiko GomezU897957C3905262D634250501427645000 waterpressurelighting rogue wa ExtraLarge Dear Santa,Just in case you didn’t get my previous letters, I am posting my list here. No need to fit them down the chimney, I will leave the front door open:

1. Le Chek Oval Dining Table

le chek oval table

I like oval tables. Feng Shui believes that a round table is inviting and comfortable. The mix of frosted glass and mixed metals on the Le Chek table really caught my eye. The Tempo Luxury Home Collection is designed and fabricated by Joe Ginsberg. A painter and sculptor as well as designer, Ginsberg maximizes his expertise with materials to create new textures, sculpted lines, luminous acid-etched surfaces, and striking lighting effects.

2. Rogue Wave Light Fixture

(Picture at top of the post)

I love the sculptural quality of this fixture  by dwellings ltd. and the way it mimics water.  I would place this in a dining room that could use the Water element to enhance abundance and creativity. In Feng Shui, you do not always need to place the actual element in the room (such as fire, earth, etc.). Each element has a corresponding shape which can be used instead. For water, it is the curved shape of this light fixture.

3. Organic Canopy Bed

The raw quality of this canopy bed is a knock out. Bedroom Feng Shui is all about creating a cocoon environment that protects, nurtures, and encourages love. This canopy bed by Trace Furniture does this with natural elegance, and organic materials.

4. Cube End Table

This looks like a piece of ancient rock crystal. I love the mix of textures and elements. It would be fantastic in a Feng Shui Design. Andrianna Shamaris Inc. sources outstanding natural forms of aged and reclaimed teak, tamarin, sono and iron wood from around the world.

5. Rajasthan Wallpaper

Elitis Rajasthan wallpaper

This paper reminds me of my time in India, and the colorful homes in small villages that I had the pleasure of visiting. The Elitis wall paper texture replicates raw cloth…I would love to do a guest room or library in this!

6. Cheverny Sofa

Santa, I would be happy with anything from Jiun Ho’s collection. This sofa really sums up his exquisite style: Balance and Harmony. Textures against clean lines, rich dark woods against simple fabrics. A bridge between cultures, ages past and those let to come. Simply stunning.

7. A kitchen counter made of Concetto by Caesar Stone

Blue Agate

Gorgeous and environmentally sound. CaesarStone’s Concetto range is a collection of extraordinary surfaces hand-made from individually cut and bound semi-precious stones.

It is a wonderful example of the Earth element, which is good Feng Shui for creating a grounding,  nurturing space.  A bar made of this material could be backlit for a sparkling effect.

8. A trip to The Four Seasons Seychelles

Ok, so this is not a piece of furniture…but it is a beautifully designed resort in one of the most gorgeous spots in the world. HBA’s award winning Four Season’s Seychelles’s resort is simply as good as it gets.

HBA/Hirsch Bedner Associates consistently sets new creative trends, pushes boundaries and injects fresh visual ideas into some of the world’s best-known addresses. They do beautiful work, and in this instance, created a space in which the five elements of Feng Shui are represented. The result is a space in harmony with its environment. Ahh, luxury, harmony, tropics…these are a few of my favorite things.

Well, thank you for the goodies, Santa. I promise to be extra sweet in the New Year ~ and to renovate your North Pole digs anytime.

Love,

Reiko
